Venue: Karkardooma Community Centre, Karkardooma Village, East Delhi.
Camp Team: Dr. Aashish Yadav (PT), Dr. Madhvi (PT), Dr. Bhavya Baweja (PT) faculty members of AJIPT alongwith student volunteers from 22nd BPT Batch conducted a comprehensive health and wellness camp on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at the Karkardooma Community Centre in Karkardooma Village, East Delhi, with the primary objective of assessing key physical health parameters and raising awareness about healthy lifestyle practices.
Areas of Assessment and Activities Conducted:
- Obesity Screening
Body Fat Percentage: Evaluated using the Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) method to provide participants with an accurate measure of their body composition.
- BMI: Body mass index(BMI) was used to measure the Obesity and related health risks.
- Ergonomics Guidance
- Posture Assessment and Analysis: Individualized evaluation of participants’ posture was conducted with detailed feedback and recommendations for ergonomic improvements in daily activities and work settings.
- Flexibility Assessment
- Sit and Reach Test: Used to assess the flexibility of the lower back and hamstring muscles.
The camp saw strong engagement from the local community, with attendees expressing appreciation for the detailed assessments and personalized advice they received. It effectively spread and reinforced key messages regarding regular physical activity, proper posture, and overall wellness. In conclusion, the camp was a successful endeavour in preventive healthcare and lifestyle education, and the organizers remain dedicated to promoting community health and well-being through similar future efforts.
