Attendance

To qualify for the annual examinations, all students should have a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject separately. Failure to complete this requirement will lead to the student being barred from the examination. Decisions of the Attendance Review Committee of Amar Jyoti will be final in this regard.

Examinations

During the entire course of study in Physiotherapy, four annual examinations will be held. These examinations will be held at the end of each academic year. A student is promoted from one year to the next only when he/she has passed the examinations in at least three main theory subjects and in all the practical examinations. The pass percentage is 50% for both theory and practical examinations.

Internal Assessment

25% of marks in all subjects (except qualifying subjects) are awarded through internal assessments. The internal assessment marks will be based on terminal examinations/ Assignments/ presentations. Out of 25% internal marks, 5% will be based on regularity in attendance of student.

Clinical Training

The third year and fourth year students are placed in various hospitals/ institutions/ Centres in the Delhi/ NCR for Clinical training. Our students are currently receiving their clinical training VIMHANS, Chacha Nehru, Pushpanjali, LNJP, Akshay Pratishthan, DCCU, Leprosy Mission etc.

Internship (6 months)

During the Internship period, the candidate will have to undergo a full time (950 hours) supervised Physiotherapy clinical practice of six months in Institutions/Hospitals/ Centres recognized by the Institution. The candidate, during this period, will be evaluated on the basis of his/her clinical performance. The marks secured during internship will be added to that scored in annual examinations for final calculation of marks. Our students are currently undergoing internship at the following hospitals/Institutes:

 

St. Stephens Hospital, Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan, G B Pant Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Metro Hospital, Lok Nayak Jaiprakash (LNJP) Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, Pushpanjali Crosslay, Max Hospital, IHBAS etc.
