ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. The candidate must have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (10+2 years), the Indian School Certificate Examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates) in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Zoology/Botany) with English as a passed subject, provided the candidate has passed each subject separately. The candidate must also be declared overall passed in the mark sheet.
  1. The candidate should be a minimum 17 years of age on 31st December 2026.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Class – Non Creamy Layer Candidates

A Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate to the effect that he/she belongs to that particular category from a competent authority, as listed below along with the application form.

OBC-NCL candidates should have an OBC-NCL Certificate valid for 2026-27. The caste mentioned in the OBC Certificate should be mentioned in the central list of OBC available at:
http://ncbc.nc.in/backwardclasses.inded.htm/

In case a candidate has applied for an NCL Certificate for the year 2026-27 at the time of application, they need to submit the NCL Certificate of the previous year along with a proof of application (receipt). All the OBC-NCL candidates must submit valid NCL Certificate for the year 2026-27 at the time of counselling.

Person with Disability (PwD) Candidates

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Candidates

Candidates seeking admission under the EWS category must have a valid certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or after 01 April 2026.

Procedure for Admission

The selection of candidates for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course will be based on merit in an Entrance Examination conducted by the institute, followed by counselling. The examination will be conducted in physical mode for a duration of two (2) hours. It will consist of 100 objective-type questions that are based on the Senior School Certificate (10+2) curriculum of physics, chemistry, biology and general knowledge.

Every correct answer will get one (1) mark and no negative marking for incorrect answer. Based on merit in the entrance examination, candidates (category-wise) will be called for counselling to finalize their admission. Counselling will consist of verification of original documents, depositing the requisite fee(s) and a formal acceptance of admission. The result of the entrance examination will be declared within 10 days from the date of examination. The update on counselling will be uploaded within a week on the college website. It is the responsibility of the candidate to check the college website periodically for regular updates. The criteria for the selection of candidate having equal marks in the entrance examination is as follows:

i) In the case of equal marks in the entrance examination, the candidate securing a higher percentage (physics, chemistry, biology and English) in the last qualifying examination will be offered admission first.

ii) In the case of candidates having equal percentage in the last qualifying examination, the date of birth would be the basis for selection, i.e., the candidate senior in age will be offered admission first.
